What to write about

We welcome messages on the following topics:

  • Typos and factual errors in our articles. Please link to the specific page and quote the problematic line.
  • Dating disagreements. Different sources give different dates for events before the fifteenth century. If you have a strong opinion grounded in published scholarship, tell us.
  • Suggestions for new articles. We have a queue of subjects we plan to cover; suggestions are welcome.
  • Technical problems with the site (display issues on particular devices or browsers).
  • Cooperation requests, especially from scholars of Byzantine history, philologists, and Orthodox clergy who would be willing to review draft articles.

What we will not do

  • We do not answer personal spiritual questions. Speak to a priest.
  • We do not arrange pilgrimage trips, diamonitiria, or accommodation in the monasteries. Contact the Pilgrim’s Office in Thessaloniki or an established pilgrim agency.
  • We do not forward messages to particular monks on Mount Athos.
  • We do not host advertising or exchange links.

Response time

The site is run in our spare time. Most messages are answered within three to seven days. If two weeks pass without a reply, your message has probably been lost — please try again, perhaps from a different address.
